The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).
All metal prints ship within 3 - 4 business days and arrive "ready to hang" with mounting hooks and nails.

Artist's Description
In Guatemala, the women weave the way they have for thousands of years, and each 'tela' they create contains symbolic meanings. Here I have depicted an indigenous Maya woman weaving, wearing her embroidered 'huipil' blouse. The tela she creates has the symbol for romantic love, 'los dos quetzales', or the two love birds; and the ceiba tree, their symbolic tree of life, with its roots branching out to 'connect us all'.
About Danielle Valdes Jimenez
Although I am self-taught artist who fell in love with creating art when just a child, I also earned BA’s in Fine Arts and Anthropology. I see creating art as an innate compulsion, the purpose of which remains to be revealed. I am inspired by the folk art design styles of Mexican, Central American, Venetian and Middle Eastern customs, both traditional and modern. I love to experiment with different media: I create surreal portraiture and landscapes in oils and acrylics, as well as paper mache masks using found materials. I also create paper mache sculpture such as my trademark "Whistling Skull." The design combines different Mesoamerican inspired flower motifs to create the illusion that the skull is pursing its lips. No two skulls are...
